A Mala represents something different to everyone. You can use a Mala chain to strengthen your intentions, to support your yoga practice or to strengthen your focus while meditation. Your Mala will accompany you for a long time and reflect your aspiration.

Are you looking for something meaningful – a customised mala – for some loved ones, friends or maybe just yourself?

Mala necklaces are all traditionally hand knotted, using only real gemstones or rudraksha beads. The necklaces feature 108 beads, which is an auspicious number in Buddhism, Hinduism, and yoga.
As a rule, a prayer necklace has 108 pearls and a so-called “guru pearl”. The Guru Pearl marks the beginning, turning and ending point in a meditation.

Everyone can wear a mala, even without a religious or spiritual background. You can simply wear them as a reminder of personal intention you’ve set, or when seeking a calmer mind, body, and spirit. The number 108 has a range of significance across many different cultures and disciplines. There are many relationships that carry this number, may it be in ayurveda, religion, mathematics or astronomy. Some believe there are 108 stages on the journey of the human soul, while others associate the possibility of enlightenment with taking only 108 breaths a day. The number 108 is favored by mathematicians for its countless patterns and divisions, represents in astronomy the distance between sund and earth and is equal to the ayurvedic sacred places in the body, which identify intersections of matter and consciouness. Therefore the significance of 108 beads on your mala is open to interpretation.
